The KINDER-ROBINS

                                                a Half Day Enrichment Program for Kindergartners

Due to family or children’s needs, many parents seek a part time enrichment program to supplement their kindergartner’s school experience.  KIDSPACE Child Enrichment Center offers supplemental programs for half-day kindergartners in the morning and afternoon. 

The primary objective of the Kinder-Robins class is to provide the children rich opportunities to explore the arts and sciences supplementing their kindergarten academics with experiences which will broaden their desire and appreciation for knowledge in creative ways.  This class also includes a gymnastics class at Naydenov Gymnastic Center.

KIDSPACE Child Enrichment Center and Walnut Grove Elementary School work together to provide a smooth transition for the children attending afternoon kindergarten.  The KIDSPACE teaching staff provides a very pleasant and interesting morning for the children who attend afternoon kindergarten at Walnut Grove Elementary.  After a fun morning of enriching activities, the kindergarten students eat lunch and then are accompanied by their teacher to the bus stop.  Students needing after-school care return back by bus where they are met once again by KIDSPACE staff.

Children attending morning or afternoon kindergarten at other elementary schools are also invited to join our morning or afternoon kindergarten enrichment program.  Transportation to and from school, except Walnut Grove Elementary School, must be arranged by the parent.

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Enrollment: We enroll new students throughout the year unless the class is full.

Waiting List: Openings from the waiting list will be filled in order of the waiting list, with the following exception: families with siblings already enrolled at KIDSPACE Child Enrichment Center have first priority.

Non-schoold Days: Children who pay full time tuition will not be charged extra for non-school days. Children who pay part time tuition will be charged $5 an hour after the first three hours with a maximum of $25 per day.

Holidays: KIDSPACE Child Enrichment Center will be closed on the following days: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and usually one other day at Christmas. We are also closed three in-service days throughout the year for teacher planning and training.

Meals: Children need to bring their own lunch. KIDSPACE Child Enrichment Center will provide milk and fruit for lunch and all snacks.
