The focus of this oversized play area is large motor development. The entire area is covered with a gymnastic padded spring floor, ensuring safe landings as children climb, jump, balance, hang, run and roll. There are vinyl covered mats, blocks, and fun shapes children will use to construct obstacle courses, life-sized forts, rocket ships, castles, where ever their imagination take them.

Children will ascend a 20 foot wide ramp to the second level, to practice skills on gymnastic equipment or climb a rock mountain.

This outdoor play area has a big playstructure and an asphalt riding path to keep children busy climbing, crossing bars, sliding, riding trikes, and playing with earth movers in the dirt.

Large motor skills, with an emphasis on eye-hand coordination, are the focus of this room. Children will have access to equipment such as a batting station, basketball hoop and basketballs, soccer balls and goals, scooter boards, hula hoops, dancing ribbons and streamers.

Children will also have a large 10 foot boat for pretend play and a big jump house for a bouncing good time!

Children will have a chance to participate in many rich experiences in this outdoor classroom, including painting, gardening, chalk drawing, bubble play, and more.

The loft room gets its name because of the beautiful home center which is in the loft. Children practice life skills: dressing up, cooking and serving, caring for others, and of course cleaning, all while playing and pretending.

Things that go, signs and maps are the central themes of this cozy space under the loft. It is located next to the building blocks to encourage cross-over play.

The math corner is filled with a variety of manipulatives to encourage children to experiment with concepts such as: sorting, patterning, counting, addition and subtraction. Also available to

the children are geometrical and measuring materials.

The sofa, rocking chair, and child sized park bench make the reading corner and inviting retreat for children to enjoy a good book, or a conversation with a friend.

The block corner is also a favorite among the children. They learn much about building, balance, strength of structure, problem solving and symmetry while cooperating with friends.

The music exploration corner is tucked under the loft. Children will have opportunities to experiment with instruments from around the world, build their own instruments, and explore music found in everyday objects.

The wooden house provides a quiet play space for children. Teachers will change the equipment and toys in this area as needed, to give children opportunities to extend their play in areas of interest.

There are more opportunities for construction in the center of the room. It is anchored by the wooden train and many other important construction materials, such as Lincoln Logs and waffle blocks.

Board games teach children many lessons, including, but certainly not limited to, academic, logical thinking lessons. The game and puzzle center encourages small groups of children to interact together to build their relationship skills sometimes as allies and sometimes as foes.
