Yes. We offer 2, 3 and 5 day a week options for enrollment.
Do you offer a half-day option?
No. We are a full-day, 6 hour learning program.
I need care beyond the six hour program offered. Is this possible?
Yes, we offer an extended care option that families can enroll in. Care is limited to one hour before and one hour after a student’s daily program.
Do you offer before and after-school care to school age students?
No. We are a preschool and Kindergarten learning/care program only.
Does my child need to be toilet trained to enroll?
Yes.
What meals do you provide each day?
We provide morning and afternoon snacks, as well as fruit, milk and water to accompany family-provided lunches.
Do you allow tree nut or peanut products?
No. We do not allow tree nut or peanut products due to the high risk of severe allergic reactions.
Do students nap during the day?
Our preschool classes are mixed age 3-5. There is a rest time each day where some students do nap.
My child doesn’t nap, will they have to lie down at school?
Students who don’t nap are given quiet activities to do on their cozy mat while their peers nap.
Is Kidspace a secure facility?
Yes. We have door-code access and primary pick-up adults are enrolled in our fingerprint identification check-in system.
What are the teacher/student ratios at Kidspace?
Our ratios are 6:1 (six students to one teacher) As we like to say at Kidspace, “We prefer to stay under ratio and over-staffed.” This means that we tend to keep classroom numbers under state allowed ratios and often have extra support in classrooms to make for optimal learning environments.
Is there frequent staff turn-over at Kidspace?
No. Many of our staff have been with us for 3-8+ years. That said, we pride ourselves on welcoming new staff that are seeking to advance their skills and/or bring specific knowledge in key areas of early learning.
Do staff receive on-going training and education?
Absolutely! We are a community of learners and we look to our students to determine what learning we should engage in for our own development. We provide our staff with education and training throughout each year in addition to state-required training hours.
Does Kidspace accept state or tribal assistance?
Yes. Please call (360) 944-9300 or email kidspace1@comcast.net if you have additional questions. We are happy to help!
