ROBINS – March 25th – 29th

Hello again! This week in the Robins was all about rainbows & rabbits. Take a look!

This week we said goodbye to March. The Robins had such a great time dressing up as kings and queens in our magical kingdom, they decided to draw castles for their monthly drawing. They turned out wonderful! Remember, you’re always welcome to take a peek at your Robins notebook. They’re on the white shelf near the sandbox in the middle room.

With Easter right around the corner, the Robins built a rabbit mat man and made bunny baskets…

The letter of the week was “R” for “rain” and “rainbows.” We worked on many rainbow art projects. The Robins painted rainbows using coffee filters and watercolors. A great lesson in the concept of absorption…

We also painted rainbows by applying paint to sponges using squeeze bottles. This sure took a lot of fine motor control and definitely gave those small hands a workout.

Music & movement…

The favorite activity this week was by far our color exploration center. The kids mixed water tinted red, blue, and yellow to see what colors they could create. A few drops of food coloring would make this a super easy activity to do at home.

Thanks for reading! Until next time,
