ROBINS – T is for Turtle

Today we had a visitor.  Miss Julie’s pet turtle came to visit.
We had lots of questions.  Do turtles bite?  What do they eat?  How fast are they?

These questions were answered as the Robins
observed Miss Julie’s turtle eat crickets and swim in water, it even
wondered around during circle time.

The turtle went outside with the Robins and played in the boat.
The children found worms to feed the turtle.  The turtle was not very hungry the
rest of the day.

The children were inspired to make their own turtle at art time.
Just as all turtles are unique the children were encouraged to make
their paper plate turtles unique too.

It was a “turtle-terrific day!”
