ROBINS – March 18th – 22nd

Hello Families! The Robins spent this week in a magical kingdom filled with kings, queens, & dragons. Take a look!

We started out with our weekly class at Naydenov. The Robins have learned so much and all their practice is really paying off. What seemed so challenging at the beginning of year, the Robins now do with such ease. They’re amazing!

In honor of out letter of the week (Q for Queen), we transformed the back room into a magical kingdom.

The Robins even added their own special touches, like this dragon.

Inside the castle, we explored using shapes to create castles on the light table…

We applied this same principle to paper to create really unique art…

We used this really neat molding material called “Bubber” to make a different kind of castle…

The Robins enjoyed many stories about kings, queens, princes, and princesses…

They even wrote some amazing fairy tales of their own to share with the class…

The Paper Bag Princess was a big hit! The Robins amazed us with their creativity as they created costumes out of paper bags.

Why does a dragon’s fiery breath grow when they open their mouth?  Let’s experiment! The Robins learned that a fire requires oxygen to burn by sealing a lit candle in a jar and watching the flame slowly die out.

We marble painted flowers to celebrate the arrival of Spring…

Writing with quills was a favorite this week…

Until next week,
Miss Crystal & Miss Julie
