ROBINS – K is for Key Lime Pie

 

 

                      K is for Key Lime Pie

Well at least that’s the case for this cooking Friday.  The Robins also thought of other words that begin with the letter K:    Keys, Katie, Koriylnn, Kadence, Kangaroo, Ketchup, and Kidney beans.       So, for cooking Friday, the Robins made individual Key lime pies.
 

Step #1:  Make the crust.  To make the crust the Robins smashed graham crackers into very small pieces. They then added melted butter and mixed.  
 
We added a couple of tablespoons of the graham cracker mixture to the bottom of each cupcake liner.

Step #2:  Make the filling.  
 
 We beat the yoke only of five eggs.
Then we added one can of sweetened condensed milk
and finally 1/2 cup of lime juice.

Mix all the ingredients together.

Next, we added a 1/2 cup of the egg and lime mixture on top of the graham cracker crust mixture.                           
Then we baked them in a 375 degree oven for 15 minutes. 

 

 

 

 

Allow to cool and enjoy.
If you desire you can top with whipped topping and garnish with lime slices.
