ROBINS – March 11th – 15th

Top o’ the morning to you! This week in the Robins was all about the letter, “P“, for Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

We began our week with lots of St. Patrick’s Day themed art, like clover collages…

Shamrock garlands using construction paper shamrocks, green ribbon, and noodles dyed green…

Leprechaun drawings…

Shamrock prints using cookie cutters…

We built a leprechaun mat man…

Our St. Patrick’s sensory table was filled with all sorts of things in green & gold…

This week the school aged class made leprechaun traps. A group of Robins were so inspired, they built a leprechaun trap of their own. These students did an amazing job working together and compromising on the design of their trap…

On Friday, we noticed a trail of green glitter leading to the trap. Inside we found the pot of gold from our sensory table filled with shamrock stickers. This was surely the work of an unruly leprechaun and he was on the loose at Kidspace!

The Robins looked everywhere for clues…in the drawers…

In the sandbox….

In the garden…

Finally we found a clue!

I got tired of hiding inside. I’m running to a bike to take a ride.

The Robins headed out to the playground, only to find another clue…

I was riding wild and free, then I decided to climb a tree!

After searching all the trees, the Robins found yet another clue!

When I was up the tree, I looked over the fence, then I decided to rest on a bench.
This lead us to the picnic bench, where we found our final clue that lead us to a hidden pot of chocolate gold coins behind the boat. What an adventure!

While I was resting I buttoned my coat. Then I decided to hide my gold by the boat!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

Until next week,
Miss Crystal & Miss Julie
